Zoo Holiday is a well-loved theme. This play introduces children to many of the marvelous animals and fun that can be found at the Zoo. Children pretend to be lions, seals, elephants and camels. They buy balloons, and ride a big red bus. ZOO HOLIDAY has 20 prerecorded songs sung by children just like yours. You decide on the number of songs to include. Incorporate the songs into your circle time right from the beginning, and the children will learn the words and motions with ease. Listen to 5 samples below.
Description
Script: The teacher is the narrator and is included in the play action. Thus the teacher can help, prompt and set the pace of the play while following the easy script. This format will allow the teacher and the children to concentrate on singing together and performing the fun movements of the songs.
The ZOO entrance is a scenery suggestion; you select what elements you would like to include.
Print the invitation template and have the children color and fill it out or you can print it ahead of time to send home. It is a digital file so it can be emailed.
Make your own unique Program by taking a group photo of your children with a cell phone; drop it into the Text Box on the digital Program template. Then list the names of the children and the songs to be performed; print it and you’re done!
Print any of the 10 Animals masks and have the children color them to wear, or tape the masks to paint stirs.
As an alternative, use face paints to create the look of the animals in the play on your children’s faces.
You can also make or buy animal costumes.
Don’t want costumes? An alternative is to print the iron on t-shirt template and make a t-shirt for everyone or print it on heavy stock paper and pin it to his or her shirt the day of the performance, they’ll look great.
